'New era': Amit Shah inaugurates Maa Sharda Devi Temple near LoC in J&K.

Sharda Devi temple is located in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, near LOC

Home Minister Amit Shah , inaugurated the temple via Video Conferencing.

He termed this as discovery of Sharda civilization and Sharda script, the original script of Kashmir.

The temple has been build by Shri Shringeri Sharda Math , in Karnataka.

Sharda Peeth was once a centre of India’s religious, cultural and educational heritage, where scholars from all over the country came in search of scriptures and spiritual knowledge.

In line with Kartarpur corridor, the central government will move forward to open the Sharda Peeth, as said by Amit Shah.

After the nullification of Article 370, peace has been established in J&K with both the Kashmir valley and Jammu returning to their old traditions, civilisation and Ganga-Jamuni ‘tehzeeb’ (peaceful co-existence of different religious communities).

Mentioning that the opening of Maa Sharda Devi temple on the first day of Chaitra Navratri was an 'auspicious sign' and “the beginning of a new era”.

Amit Shah said 35 places across J&K, including temples and Sufi center's, were being renovated at a cost of Rs 65 crore.

Also, 31 mega cultural programme's were organized by identifying 75 places across J&K region.
