Sundar Pichai is the CEO of Google and Alphabet, the parent company of Google.

Pichai was born in India and studied metallurgical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur before earning a PhD in materials science and engineering from Stanford University.

Pichai joined Google in 2004 as a product manager and has held several leadership roles within the company over the years.

In 2015, Pichai was named CEO of Google, succeeding Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

Pichai has been credited with leading the company's growth in mobile search and advertising, as well as the development of Google's Chrome web browser.

Pichai is known for his commitment to user privacy and security, and has been a vocal advocate for the use of encryption to protect user data.

Pichai has also been a proponent of artificial intelligence and machine learning, and has overseen the development of several new AI-based products and services at Google.

In 2019, he was appointed as CEO of Alphabet, the parent company of Google, taking over from Larry Page and Sergey Brin

Pichai has been recognized for his leadership and contributions to technology, receiving several awards and honors including the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, in 2020

Pichai has also been actively involved in philanthropy and education, particularly in India, through the Pichai Sundararajan Trust.
